Trafficking has evolved. It is no longer hidden only in alleyways, backrooms, and border routes. It now lives behind screens, inside platforms, and within corporate systems that profit from exploitation at scale. Justice Defense Fund is fighting on that modern battlefield with an aggressive strategy: hit the enablers where they are strongest, legally and financially. Freedom Place respects this because real freedom requires not only rescue, but accountability for the powerful.
Meeting the Visionary
JDF was founded by Laila Mickelwait, an advocate known for taking bold action against powerful platforms that profit from abuse. Her work has helped shift the conversation globally by exposing the reality of online exploitation and demanding accountability from corporations that enable it. Her leadership is marked by courage, persistence, and an unwavering commitment to truth.

True Heroes for the Vulnerable
JDF’s heroes are the attorneys, advocates, and survivor-support teams who fight battles many cannot see but millions are affected by.
Their work includes:
Strategic Civil Litigation: Supporting lawsuits that pursue restitution and accountability from corporate enablers.
Public Awareness and Advocacy: Mobilizing pressure that drives policy change and corporate reform.
Survivor Support: Ensuring survivors are cared for as human beings, not treated as case files.
Why Their Work Matters
The trafficking battlefield has expanded online. When platforms are allowed to profit without consequences, exploitation multiplies. JDF fights for a world where the internet is not a lawless space and where survivors can pursue justice against powerful entities.
Join Us in Support
Freedom Place aims to stand with those confronting exploitation in the digital world. May the Lord protect the advocates of JDF, strengthen the survivors they support, and provide every resource needed to secure justice and freedom.
