Exodus Cry works upstream to end human trafficking by confronting demand, culture, and legal systems that enable exploitation.

They operate with the conviction that trafficking will never truly end unless society stops tolerating the purchase of human beings. Exodus Cry focuses on dismantling the cultural and legal systems that allow exploitation to thrive.

Meet the Founder

As a filmmaker and advocate, Benjamin Nolot translates this mission into high-impact media and storytelling. He leads the team in producing investigative content designed to expose the inner workings of the sex industry and the reality of those within it. His strategy moves beyond traditional advocacy by using film to challenge lawmakers and the public to rethink their stance on human dignity, turning raw information into a catalyst for legislative change.

Advocates for the Vulnerable

Exodus Cry’s heroes are the outreach workers, advocates, and survivor-support teams who step into spaces where exploitation is hidden in plain sight.

Their work includes:

  • Direct Outreach: Regular engagement with women in exploitative environments, offering practical support and exit pathways.

  • Trauma Therapy and Healing: Survivor-centered care that helps rebuild identity, stability, and long-term recovery.

  • Culture and Legal Reform: Media advocacy and public campaigns that challenge demand and influence legislation.

Why Targeting Demand Matters

While individual rescue missions are vital for restoration, they do not address why exploitation exists in the first place. By focusing on the buying side, the strategy shifts from reactive to preventative, aiming to dry up the financial incentives that fuel the industry.

When demand is targeted through both legal accountability and cultural shifts, it effectively weakens the entire marketplace. This "upstream" approach treats trafficking as a profit-driven ecosystem; by increasing the risks for buyers and dismantling the legal structures that protect them, the supply naturally diminishes because the business model becomes unsustainable. Ultimately, confronting the demand is the only way to ensure that for every person rescued, another is not immediately recruited to take their place.
