Real Estate and Human Trafficking Dallas Roundtable

Our first gathering in Dallas will be held Tuesday evening June 27 at 7:30 PM in the Private Dining Hall of Highland Park Presbyterian Church. Ben Briggs will be giving a report on his commercial real estate work in China, ministry in Asia's red light districts, and plans for the Freedom Place project.

Freedom Place's office tower is anticipated to cost upwards of $600 million and be home to Fortune 500 corporate headquarters and leading companies that require modern, flexible, open spaces and the best amenities in a live-work-play environment. The project anticipates raising approximately $125 million to go towards combating human trafficking.

The U.N. estimates that worldwide slavery exceeds 36,000,000 people, more than ever before in human history.

"Human traffickers are earning billions of dollars on the backs and in the beds of our children," says the Not My Life film director, Academy Award nominee, Robert Bilheimer, "and yet no one knows this is happening. We have a huge responsibility, right now, to learn the truth and act on it."

The average age in Bombay’s red light district is just 14 years. 2,000,000 sex slaves are trafficked into prostitution every year.

"This is a new concept for financing the construction of a large building that is based in standard investment practices, but yet has an inspiring and long-lasting result," said founding partner Ben Briggs.
